The Tote Ten-To-Follow flat competition starts on May 2nd. This year they've split the horses into groups. Here are selection of horses worth considering...
Classic Colts
Delegator
Trainer: Brian Meehan. Favourite after beating Sans Frontieres by 2 3/4 lengths at Newmarket. Finished 5th in the Dewhurst Stakes last year behind Intense Focus.
Rip Van Winkle
Trainer: Aidan O'Brien. Finished 7th in the Dewhurst Stakes and looked to have more to come. Worries after it was announced he suffered a training setback over the winter.
Mastercraftsman
Trainer: Aidan O'Brien. Winner of 4 races in Ireland last year but finished 4th behind Naaqoos at Longchamp. Has dropped in the betting in last few days suggesting all might not be well.
Classic Fillies
Rainbow View
Trainer: John Gosden. Unbeaten in 4 starts including 2 1/2 length win over second favourite Fantasia at Ascot last September. Also plans for her to run in the Breeders cup in November.
Fantasia
Trainer: Luca Cumani. Only loss has been to Rainbow View. Won impressively in last race at Newmarket, beating Damaniyat Girl by 7 lengths. Might go for French 1,000 Guineas before returning for the French Oaks instead though.
Serious Attitude
Trainer: Rae Guest. Unbeaten in 3 starts.
Likely to start second favourite to Rainbow View in the 1000 Guineas.
Sprinters
Tax Free
Trainer: David Nicholls. Winner of 13 races from 30 starts. Winning return at Newmarket edging out 3/1 favourite Equiano by half a length. Likely to go for Duke Of York Stakes next.
Corrybrough
Trainer: Henry Candy. Winner of 4 races from 8 starts. Looks like one to improve with age. Not likely to be out until mid-season.
Borderlescott
Trainer: R Bastiman. Likely to be run plenty and good chance of picking up some regular points.
Milers
Paco Boy
Trainer: Richard Hannon. 7 wins from 11 starts. Going for the Lockinge and then all the top 7 furlong races.
Archipenko
Trainer: Mike De Kock. Disappointing in last run in Dubai but had an strong season last year. Might race at meetings outside the competition though.
Middle Distance
Presvis
Trainer: Luca Cumani. 2 wins and a second in Dubai this year so far. Might race at meetings outside the competition though.
Lush Lashes
Trainer: Jim Bolger. Had a nightmare at last outting in Dubai but had a good year last year so good chance of picking up some points.
Stayers
Yeats
Trainer: Aidan O'Brien. Winner of 14 races from 22 starts including 5 Group 1 wins. Entered for Yorkshire Cup in May.
Kasbah Bliss
Trainer: Francois Doumen. Disappointing in the World Hurdle at Cheltenham but has won 5 from 16 starts on the flat. With only 2 outtings over hurdles this year there could be a few extra races on the flat.
Septimus
Trainer: Aidan O'Brien. Winner of 8 races from 13 starts
